The short version

This app keeps everything on your phone. It has no servers and no cloud. We (the developer) never receive, store, or see your location, your walks, your name, or any other information about you. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

What the app accesses

Your location (GPS). The app uses your phone's location — including in the background, with the screen off, while you are walking — for one purpose only: to draw the streets you have walked on a map on your own device. This location data is saved only in local storage on your phone. It is never transmitted anywhere.

A name you optionally type in. If you enter a first name, it is stored on your phone so the app can label your walks. It is never sent to us.

What we collect

Nothing. The developer operates no server and receives no data from the app. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party data collection by the developer.

Map images

To show a map, the app requests map image tiles from a mapping provider. To deliver the right map images, that provider necessarily receives the map area being viewed (which reflects your approximate location) as part of a normal internet request. The provider does not receive your name or your saved walk history. See the provider's own privacy policy for how they handle such requests.

Sharing with your group ("Our Group")

Group features are entirely manual and user-initiated. If you choose to share your progress, the app creates a code that you send to a teammate however you like (text, email, etc.). Nothing is shared automatically, and no group data passes through any server operated by the developer. Each person's map stays on their own device.

Data retention and deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you are always in control of it. You can erase your walked streets from within the app, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your phone.

Children

This app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
